This might be one of the most powerful things you ever learn in business. And also one of the hardest.
Learning to trust yourself means unlearning the voices that told you everyone else knows better. That you need to wait. That you need to ask permission. That someone else holds the answer. I had to dismantle a lifetime of conditioning before I could truly hear my own inner voice, and let it lead.
I want to explore the layers of external noise, the strength of self-trust in decision-making, and how tuning into your business energy creates a deeper, more aligned path forward.

The Overwhelm of External Advice
There is no shortage of business advice. Scroll your feed, open your inbox, attend a workshop, and you’ll hear dozens of different strategies. Many of them are taught as “the one way.” And when you’re new or feeling uncertain, it’s easy to assume they’re right.
But here’s the truth: no one system fits everyone. What works for one person might feel completely wrong for someone else.
You’ll hear things like:
- You must run Facebook ads.
- Organic marketing is a waste of time.
- Focus on just one channel, Facebook only, or Instagram only.
But what if you love being on multiple platforms? What if YouTube lights you up? What if you want to share your voice in more than one way?
That’s why I don’t follow cookie-cutter advice. If I had, I wouldn’t still be here. I wouldn’t have launched my podcast. I wouldn’t be showing up in the ways that bring me joy. And that’s what matters, alignment, not rigid strategies.
Building the Muscle of Self-Trust
Self-trust is built over time. It comes from choosing yourself over and over again. From taking advice in, but not letting it override your intuition.
I still work with coaches. Some of them I feel deeply aligned with. Others, less so. But even when I learn something from a coach who doesn’t fully match my energy, I remind myself: I can take what’s useful and leave the rest. I don’t have to follow everything. I don’t have to justify it.
Because my business is mine. And so are my decisions.
When you trust yourself, you know which ideas to pursue and which ones to leave. You know when something feels like a true yes. You trust the timing. You trust the offer. You trust the way you’re meant to deliver it. That’s the shift, from scattered advice to inner clarity.
Creating From the Energy of Your Business
Your business has its own energy. Its own rhythm. Its own purpose. And when you listen to it, really listen, it will guide you. It will tell you when to launch. It will help you decide which ideas to run with. It will show you how it wants to evolve.
For me, that connection starts with presence. I bring my energy back into my body. I ask my business what it needs. I visualise it. Sometimes I use chakra work to ground and tune in more deeply, not as a modality, but as a language my body already knows how to speak.
You don’t need to be an expert in energy to do this. You just need to be willing to be in a relationship, with yourself, and with your business. And when you do that, the trust grows naturally.
Trust Before Action
Aligned action comes when you’re grounded in your own truth—not when you’re rushing to keep up. That’s why I don’t act from pressure anymore. If I’m on a sales call and feel rushed, I pause. I reflect. I’ve made decisions from pressure before, and they’ve always felt off.
Now I act from clarity.
I know the difference between excitement and urgency. I know when something is meant for me, and when it’s not. And that level of trust creates so much freedom.
So before you buy a course, launch a program, or jump into something new, ask yourself:
- Is this truly aligned?
- Is this my path—or someone else’s?
- What is my business guiding me toward right now?
Let those answers lead the way.
Final Reflections
Trusting yourself is an act of power. It doesn’t mean you always know the outcome. It means you’re willing to honour what’s real for you, and move from there.
When you tune in to your energy, your body, and your business, things begin to unfold with ease. It doesn’t have to be forced. It doesn’t have to be complicated. It can feel natural. Grounded. Beautiful.
And it all begins with trust.
