This birthday was unlike any other, not because of what I received, but because of what I gave. Twelve days of visibility, creativity, and commitment. I created and shared twelve full videos in the lead-up to my birthday. And although I’ve been visible for years, across YouTube, lives, webinars, group coaching, this was different. It stretched me in ways I didn’t expect. It also gave me some of the most powerful insights I’ve had in a long time.
This wasn’t just about content creation. It was about what surfaced when I consistently showed up, especially in a space that asked for softness, truth, and energy. What I discovered deserves space, and reflection. Here are the five biggest takeaways from this experience.

1. You Can Step Outside Your Comfort Zone When You Feel Safe and Supported
Years ago, I couldn’t have done this. After leaving the medical field, I was navigating intense symptoms of mental illness. I didn’t feel safe in my body. I didn’t feel emotionally, mentally, or energetically steady enough to be visible in this way.
Back then, I had left what I thought was a “safe” job, only to realise how deeply unsafe it had been for me. It took time, healing with a psychologist, studying counselling, and immersing myself in spiritual practice, to create a foundation where I now feel safe in my body and business.
That safety allowed me to stretch. To explore. To be more visible. And it reminded me: stepping outside your comfort zone is possible, but only when you’re grounded. That means being supported by people around you, having tools to process what arises, and most of all, having compassion for yourself as you expand.
2. Let People Know What You’re Doing Ahead of Time
This was something I didn’t do quite as well this time around. The intuitive nudge to run the series came in strong, and I listened. But the pre-marketing? It was minimal. I shared posts and stories during the twelve days, but I hadn’t let people know far enough in advance.
Next time, that will change. I’ll make sure to:
- Post in my groups and let them know what’s coming
- Update banners across social media and schedule posts beforehand
- Email my list to invite them into the journey early
- Allow others the chance to support, engage, and share before it begins
Visibility is easier when people are expecting you. It builds momentum and allows your audience to meet you with energy and presence. That’s something I’ll refine next time, and I’m already looking forward to it.
3. Use Whatever Structure You Need Including Dot Points, Scripts, or Full Notes
Even though I’m usually comfortable speaking off the cuff, this time I gave myself permission to do things differently. I wrote dot points for each video. I made sure I covered everything I wanted to say. And it helped.
For a series like this, where I was stretching myself and holding a new frequency, I needed the support. And the dot points gave me that. They helped me stay clear, focused, and fully expressed.
You don’t have to do what others do. You don’t have to be completely unscripted. Whether it’s writing a full script, using a teleprompter, or having simple bullet points, do what helps you feel calm and confident.
I’ve done hundreds of videos, challenges, lives, and webinars over the years. I know how to show up. But even with all that experience, it still helped to have structure. So let this be your reminder, there’s no shame in doing what works for you.
4. You’ll Need Time Off for Self-Care
Once the twelve days ended, I felt the after-effects in my body and energy. This wasn’t a crash, but it was a deep need to pause, reflect, and care for myself. Visibility like this, especially when done with presence and emotional honesty, requires rest.
I made space to do nothing. I cleared my schedule. I let myself integrate. And I encourage you to do the same.
Stretching your comfort zone is powerful. But do it gently. Do it in small steps. And after each stretch, allow time to rest. You’re not meant to leap so far you crash. You’re meant to expand little by little, allowing your nervous system and energy field to adjust.
If someone pushes you to go bigger or faster than feels right, you get to say no. You’re allowed to honour your own pacing. And I’m giving you full permission to say: “That’s not for me right now.”
5. This Work Will Bring Beliefs to the Surface
I expected some things to come up. But I didn’t expect the depth of what actually emerged. Especially when I asked people to send in questions for me to answer. This time, five people responded, which was incredible.
And that’s when the old belief showed up: “Who am I to answer this?” Even after 350–400 videos, it still came up. What if I get it wrong? What if my answer isn’t good enough? That wave of unworthiness surprised me, but it also reminded me that growth never really ends.
These moments offer clarity. They reveal what’s still held in the body. And because I’ve built a strong relationship with my intuition and emotional health, I was able to work through it quickly.
That’s why having tools, support systems, and emotional awareness matters so deeply. They help you move through what arises, not by bypassing it, but by meeting it fully.
Final Reflections
This experience was so much more than a video series. It was an activation. A reminder of how much I’ve grown, and how much more spaciousness I’ve created within myself.
If you’re planning something similar, let yourself be supported. Prepare your energy. Honour your rhythm. Use whatever tools you need. And most of all, give yourself time to process what rises when you step into something new.
You’re allowed to show up imperfectly. You’re allowed to pause. And you’re allowed to stretch gently.
