Your Business Has Learned from You
Your business is always learning from you. From the moment you created it, it began absorbing your energy, your beliefs, your habits, and your patterns, just like a child would.
That means it also holds the truths you’ve carried. Some of those truths are aligned. Some may no longer serve you. But they live within your business’s field, just as they live in your own.
So just as your personal inner child holds wounds, memories, and beautiful potential, so does your business.
As you grow, your business’s truths can change too. Not everything you once believed will stay true forever. Some things will evolve. But some truths, like the desire to create a space of safety and nurture for your clients, may never change. They become part of your business’s core.
Reclaiming Innocence, Curiosity, and Play
Inner child work helps you reconnect to who you really are. It invites you back to curiosity, creativity, and innocence. And the same is true for your business.
Your business’s inner child is not here to run your business. It’s not meant to lead, perform, or make decisions. Its job is to remind you what the heart of it all is. That spark of joy. That sense of wonder. That feeling of purpose without pressure.
When your business starts feeling too serious, too rigid, too heavy, that’s often the moment your business’s inner child nudges you. It says, “Hey, remember what this was about? Can we make room for some play?”
That could look like:
- Stepping away from the desk to go outside
- Taking a creative detour in your day
- Letting your business breathe instead of forcing something out
- Asking what your business would choose if it could play for a while
When you honour that energy, you remember what matters most. You realign not just your strategy, but your spirit.
You Don’t Have to Choose One Inner Child
Because you have a business, you now have two inner children, your personal one, and your business’s. And just like children in the physical world, they’re meant to play.
Let them play together. Let them remind you what it feels like to follow curiosity without pressure. Let them teach you how to enjoy the process again, especially when things feel heavy.
This is part of reclaiming your joy in business. Because somewhere along the way, many of us lose that. We get so focused on productivity, on getting it right, on making things work, that we forget how to simply be in a relationship, with ourselves and with our business.
Feminine and Masculine Energy in Business
The Root Base Chakra also invites us into the energy of the divine feminine. That’s the energy of nurture, flow, receiving, intuition. But it’s not the only energy we hold.
We also carry the divine masculine, structure, action, decision, logic. And your unique blend of these energies matters.
You might want to explore this more deeply:
- Take a piece of paper and draw a line down the middle
- On one side, write “feminine”; on the other, write “masculine”
- Ask: What does feminine energy feel like to me in business?
- Then ask: What does masculine energy mean for me in this space?
You can do the same with your business’s energy. What comes up when you tune into its feminine energy? What about its masculine? This exercise can help you redefine what balance looks like, not based on someone else’s definition, but your own.
You don’t have to conform to traditional meanings. If the feminine feels more structured for you, honour that. If the masculine feels more fluid, trust that too. Your energy knows what’s right.

Your business is alive with energy. It holds an inner child, just like you do. And when you slow down enough to connect with that energy, through grounding, through nurture, through play, you begin to create from a place that’s deeper, freer, and more fully aligned.
