Episode 146

Are You Fully Committed To Your Business? – BDay Fun Day 4

This is one of those topics that calls for gentle honesty. Because sometimes the reason we feel stuck or scattered in business has nothing to do with effort or time, and everything to do with commitment. Real commitment. The kind that lives in your energy, your body, and your everyday choices.

I explore what true commitment looks like beyond the hustle, how to spot when disconnection is creeping in, and a few simple ways to re-align with your business energetically. Because commitment isn’t about hard work. It’s about energy, connection, and aligned action.

Commitment Is More Than Hard Work

I’ve never liked the term “hard work.” Both words feel heavy. And when we link commitment to pushing or grinding, we miss the deeper truth.

True commitment is about showing up from a place of alignment, not force. It’s choosing to act from clarity, not obligation. When I create something from a pushing energy, it never feels good. But when I move from alignment, even something as simple as recording a video feels nourishing.

I’ve experienced both. In the past, I would force myself to post content or tick off a to-do list. But now? I honour the energy. I listen first. And that listening is what makes the action flow.

When I feel in alignment with my intuition and with the energy of my business, pushing becomes nearly non-existent. That’s not to say it disappears entirely, life is still life. But when I’m connected, the heaviness lifts. Things move with more ease.

Recognising Disconnection Before It Becomes Burnout

Disconnection doesn’t always announce itself. Sometimes it sneaks in quietly. You might feel unmotivated. Content feels like a chore. Clients aren’t booking in. Or maybe you don’t even want to work on your business at all.

That’s usually a sign you’ve drifted out of alignment, not just with your tasks, but with yourself, your intuition, and the energy of your business.

We all go through seasons. Sometimes we pivot. Sometimes life redirects us. But more often, what we need is reconnection. A return to the deeper why. The purpose that lights us up. The vision that anchors us.

You might have high physical energy but still feel low when it comes to business. That’s a sign. It means your mindset energy or passion energy is out of sync. And those need to be supported too. Not in a hype way—but in a grounded, focused, clear way. Even five minutes of real connection can shift your entire day.

Check In. Are You Truly Committed?

I had to ask myself this question a few years ago: Am I actually committed? Or am I still treating my business like a hobby?

For a long time, it was the latter. I did bits and pieces. I dabbled. And I told myself I was building a business, but I wasn’t really in it. That’s why things stayed stuck. The shift came when I fully committed, not to hustle, but to my path. To doing the work I’m here to do, in the way that feels true to me.

And grounding helped with that. Connecting to the earth, bringing my energy back into my body, building a relationship with the energy of my business, these things gave me clarity I couldn’t find in a planner or strategy.

Reconnect With the Energy of Your Business

There are so many simple, beautiful ways to reconnect with your business energy. The key is to find what works for you.

Some of my favourites include:

  • Having a physical representation of your business, like a toy, crystal, or figure, to bring its energy into the room with you.
  • Writing a letter to your business, then writing one back from your business to you.
Visualising your energy and your business’s energy as two hearts connected by a bridge. Meeting in the middle and feeling that connection again.
  • Using tools like sound, vibration, or crystals to shift the energy and realign.

It’s not about the tool. It’s about the intention. It’s about remembering that your business is a living energy you’re in relationship with, and relationships need tending.

Final Reflections

If business has been feeling hard or unclear, it may not be about effort, it may be about energy. You don’t need to push more. You need to connect more. To your body. To your intuition. To the soul of your business.

Commitment isn’t a grind. It’s an energetic decision to show up with presence, clarity, and trust.

And from that space, everything shifts.
