When you’re walking a spiritual path, especially one that includes creativity, business, and healing work, there’s no neat formula. No step-by-step strategy that works for everyone. And that’s why trust becomes so important. Trust in yourself. Trust in your intuition. Trust in the timing that doesn’t always make sense.
In this conversation with Monica Schwemin of Artifully Intuitive, we explored what it really means to show up as yourself in business. Not just outwardly, but inwardly too. Not just in what you share, but in how you live, lead, and rest.
This isn’t about perfection. It’s about showing up real, learning how to trust your own energy, honour your pace, and recognise when it’s time to pause.

Trust as a Daily Practice
Monica shared how trust became her word of the year… and then the next year too. Because some words ask for more time. Some lessons need space to settle.
For her, trust wasn’t about knowing all the answers. It was about staying in the moment. Letting go of the need to control. Trusting in her own worth and her capacity to handle whatever came up, even if it didn’t go perfectly the first time.
Trust also meant not shaming herself for getting it wrong. It meant recognising the lesson, adjusting, and moving forward. Over time, that kind of trust builds resilience. It strengthens your ability to hear your intuition and act from that space.
There was also this beautiful reminder: the more we trust, the more we soften. The more we soften, the more our intuition speaks.
Reframing the Moments That Seem Small
Intuition often shows up in everyday moments, like remembering your water bottle just before leaving the house. It’s easy to dismiss those nudges. But what if we thanked them instead?
That’s what Monica does. She practices gratitude in those small moments. Because every time you say thank you to your intuition, you deepen the connection. You create space for more trust, more flow, more inner alignment.
She reminded us that:
- Flipping the script, saying thank you instead of self-criticism, strengthens trust.
- Celebrating small wins helps you see how far you’ve come, even if you’re not “there” yet.
- Gratitude is not just a feeling, it’s an energetic signal that invites more of what you want.
The more you honour those nudges, the more they show up. Intuition responds to being listened to. Gratitude amplifies the signal.
Rest is an Action
One of the most powerful themes we returned to was rest, not as a break from action, but as action itself.
Rest, as Monica described, is what allows everything else to land. It’s where integration happens. And when we treat rest as sacred, not as a reward but as a rhythm, everything shifts.
She used a beautiful metaphor: rest is like the pause between the push and pull of a rower’s stroke. Without that pause, the rhythm breaks. Without rest, even creative work can become performative and disconnected.
- Rest is not laziness, it’s space for wisdom to emerge.
- Rest helps your nervous system integrate, respond, and recalibrate.
- Rest is how your creations become sustainable—not just reactive.
And in your business, that might mean silence between launches. Spaciousness between clients. Or choosing to do less, so you can feel more.
Authenticity Over Algorithms
We also explored how important it is to trust your own way of doing things. It’s so easy to look at what others are doing and think you need to follow their steps. But your energy is different. Your business is different.
Authenticity isn’t just about showing up on camera without filters. It’s about saying what only you can say, in your voice, your timing, your rhythm. Even if it’s already been said. Even if someone else is doing it differently.
Because people aren’t just drawn to what you offer. They’re drawn to how you offer it. They’re drawn to the energy behind it.
And that only happens when you create from joy, not pressure. From trust—not templates.
Final Reflections
You’re allowed to lead with softness. You’re allowed to listen to your body, your business, and your intuition, and let that shape how you show up.
You don’t need to wait until everything feels certain. You just need to begin where you are, with what you have, in the energy that feels true.
Let your business be a reflection of your truth, not a replication of someone else’s. Let your rest be sacred. Let your joy guide you back when things feel heavy.
